PT. Lubuk Sumber Jaya is a company that manages Batam City Square Mall (BCS Mall), located in the center of town, Jl. Bunga Raya, Baloi, Batam - Indonesia. Mega Mall

Mega Mall as one of the largest malls in Batam Batam City Government pledge to succeed Visit Batam 2010. Strategically situated at the center of Batam city administration. Its location across from Batam Centre International Ferry Port is also a very profitable thing. For easy access and convenience of foreign tourists who visit the mall lot, then built a bridge that connects the ferry terminal and the Mega Mall, so that tourists can go straight to Mega Mall without having to go outside of Batam Centre ferry terminal, but only two times across this bridge to the ferry port.

At Mega Mall is also very quite complete, including no Hypermart that provide goods to the daily needs of electronic goods with famous brands. Matahari Department Store also exist that provide Free Hotspot that can be accessed for free. If we are starving when the roads there, there is plenty of food tables, more complete, ranging from traditional dishes such as Padang cuisine, fried chicken or fried chicken Fatmawati Ria.

Nagoya Hill Mall

There is another new kid on the block, another new shopping mall has sprung up in Batam. It is called the Nagoya Hill Shopping Mall or some refer to it as the Nagoya Hill SuperBlock. No, the mall is not located on top of a treacherous hill, so there are no hill or steep slopes to climb to reach this mall. The mall is located in the center of Nagoya town and very near to Nagoya Plaza Hotel.

The mall is low rise one, with rows of shop houses opposite the main mall itself. The design of the row of shophouses is unique - I particularly like the roof. I was there during the Sunday afternoon, and there were many local people at the mall. There are 2 anchor tenants - Matahari and Hypermart. These are 2 giant retail stores in Indonesia. So when the stores are there, the shoppers will come. Hypermart is located at the basement of this mall. Normally I liked to buy food items from Hypermart, because it is cheap and fresh. The store sells everything from food, clothes, medicine to LCD TV and PC. I like the bakery counter because they offer a wide variety of bread and cakes.

DC Mall

DC Mall is one of the newer and larger malls in Batam at year 2004 which is probably constructed to cater to the tourist crowd from Singapore. Unfortunately, due to the closure of the casinos in February 2005, its development seems to have been affected and thus, probably about 35% of the shops are unoccupied as of April 2005. Due to the lack of tourist and the large area, the whole shopping mall has a feeling of being "very vacant".
